Card transaction status

When you make a payment using your Eversend card, the transaction may take a few minutes to a few hours to complete. This delay occurs because the transfer of money from your card to the merchant involves several steps and is not always instant.

A pending transaction can be concerning, but it doesn’t necessarily mean it won’t be completed. Sometimes, it takes longer for the merchant to claim the money from your card, even after we have reserved the amount for the payment.

There is nothing you need to do at this point. Simply wait for the transaction to go through. Once the merchant claims the funds, the transaction will be completed.

If the merchant doesn’t claim the funds, the money will be released back into your Eversend card in at least 7 days.

Virtual card transaction statuses:

  1. Authorization: The amount has been deducted from your card balance and is awaiting settlement with the merchant.

  2. Settlement: The merchant has received your payment.

  3. Reversal: The merchant has declined the payment, and the funds have been returned to your card.

  4. Refund: The merchant accepted the payment, but you requested a return of the funds.
