Why was my virtual card deactivated or deleted?

If your Eversend virtual card has been deactivated, deleted, revoked, or removed, it was due to one of the reasons below.

We understand this may be inconvenient, and we apologize for the disruption. Please note that once a virtual card has been deactivated or deleted, it cannot be reactivated.

Why was my virtual card deactivated?

Your virtual card may be deactivated for any of the following reasons:

1. Your first payment failed due to insufficient funds

If the very first transaction made with a newly created virtual card fails because the card does not have enough balance, the card will be permanently terminated.

To avoid this, make sure you fund your virtual card with enough money before making your first payment.

2. Multiple failed transactions due to insufficient balance

If your card records multiple consecutive failed transactions because of insufficient funds:

  • After three consecutive failed transactions, your card will be terminated.

If your card has been terminated, contact Customer Support for assistance

3. Unpaid monthly card subscription fee

If your virtual card is on the monthly subscription payment plan, a fee of USD 1 will be charged every month.

Your virtual card will be terminated if:

  • Your subscription is due,

  • Your USD wallet does not have enough funds to cover the fee, and

  • Your virtual card balance is less than USD 2,

Your virtual card will be terminated.

To prevent this, always keep enough funds in your USD wallet before your subscription renewal date.

4. Outstanding negative balance or overdraft

If your account has an outstanding negative balance or overdraft, your virtual card may be terminated. Any remaining balance on the card will be transferred to your USD wallet and used to offset the outstanding amount where applicable.

5. You requested to remove the card

If you selected "Remove Card" in the Eversend app, your card will be scheduled for deletion.

  • The card will be permanently deleted 24 hours after your request.

  • Once deleted, any remaining balance on the card will be returned to your USD wallet.

What happens to the money on my deactivated card?

Any remaining balance on your deleted or deactivated virtual card will be transferred to your Eversend USD wallet after the deletion process is complete. If your card has already been deleted, check your USD wallet balance to confirm the funds have been credited.

What if I'm expecting a refund on my deleted card?

Refunds sent to a deleted virtual card are not processed automatically. If a merchant confirms that a refund or reversal has been issued:

  1. Contact Eversend Customer Support.

  2. Share proof of the refund (for example, a screenshot or confirmation from the merchant).

Our team will review the refund and, if confirmed, credit the funds to your Eversend USD wallet.

How do I create a new virtual card?

You can create a new virtual card at any time, provided you have enough funds in your USD wallet to cover:

  • The $1 or $3 monthly card subscription fee
