Sending Money to a GBP Bank Account in the United Kingdom
With Eversend, you can send money directly to GBP bank accounts in the United Kingdom, in addition to bank transfers within Africa, USD bank accounts in the United States, and EUR (SEPA) bank accounts in Europe.
Follow the steps below to complete a GBP transfer to a UK bank account.
Before You Start
Make sure you have the recipient's:
Full name
UK phone number
UK bank account details
Step-by-Step: Sending to a UK Bank Account
Open the Eversend app and tap Send.
Select Bank as your transfer option.
Tap the + icon to add a new beneficiary.
Choose the United Kingdom as the destination country.
Enter the recipient's first name, last name, and phone number (must be a UK number).
Tap Continue.
On the Bank details screen, enter the recipient's UK bank account information as prompted.
Once all required fields are complete, tap Continue to proceed.
Enter the amount you'd like to send in GBP.
Review the transaction details — including the exchange rate and any applicable fees — carefully.
Tap Confirm to complete the transfer.
You'll receive a confirmation once your transfer has been processed, and you can track its status from your transaction history in the app.
A Few Things to Keep in Mind
Double-check the recipient's details. An incorrect name or account number can delay the transfer or cause it to be returned.
Review fees and exchange rates before confirming. These are shown on the confirmation screen prior to sending.
Editing beneficiary details later: Go to the beneficiary's profile and tap the Bank account row to update their information.
