You can pay bills directly from your Eversend wallet without leaving the app. The steps below will guide you through finding the bill payments feature, entering your payment details, and confirming your transaction.
Buy Airtime
Which countries support Airtime purchases?
You can purchase airtime for the following countries:
Uganda
Nigeria
Kenya
Ghana
Tanzania
We're continuously adding support for more countries, so check back if your country isn't currently available.
How do I purchase Airtime?
Open the Eversend app and tap Send.
Select Airtime.
Choose an existing beneficiary or enter a new phone number.
Select the airtime amount.
Review the details and confirm the transaction.
How much does it cost?
Eversend does not charge any additional fees for airtime purchases. You only pay for the value of the airtime you buy.
Pay Electricity Bills
Electricity bill payments are currently available for Uganda (Yaka) and Nigeria.
How do I pay my electricity bill?
Open the Eversend app and tap More.
Select Electricity.
Choose Uganda or Nigeria.
Add a new electricity account by selecting the appropriate account type.
Enter your meter number.
Set your preferred payment schedule (optional).
Give the account a name for easy identification.
Enter the amount you want to pay and confirm the transaction.
Will I receive an electricity token?
Yes. Once your payment is successful, you'll receive a 20-digit electricity token. Enter this token into your Customer Interface Unit (CIU) to load electricity units onto your prepaid meter.
Set Up Recurring Electricity Payments
You can automate your electricity payments to avoid missing due dates.
To set up recurring payments:
Open your prepaid electricity account.
Enable Recurring Payments.
Choose how often you'd like payments to be made (for example, daily, twice a month, or monthly).
Select the payment start date and duration.
Save your settings.
Your recurring payment schedule and next payment date will be displayed, making it easy to keep track of upcoming payments.
