Why can't I top up my GHS wallet with mobile money?

What to do when GHS mobile money top-up is not showing or unavailable in the Eversend app.

If you're trying to add money to your Ghanaian cedi (GHS) wallet and the option isn't showing, here are the most common reasons:

Mobile money top-up may be temporarily unavailable
We occasionally pause specific payment methods for maintenance or due to issues with our payment partners. This is usually resolved within a few hours. Try again later or use an alternative method if available.

You may be using an unsupported network
GHS top-up via mobile money is supported on MTN Mobile Money, Airtel Tigo and Telecel Cash (formerly Vodafone Cash). If you're on a different network, that method will not appear.

Your account region may not match
If your Eversend account was registered with a phone number from a different country, some local payment methods may not be available. See our article on fixing account region issues.

What to do

  • Try closing and reopening the app

  • Check that your mobile money account is active and has sufficient balance

  • If the issue persists, contact our support team with your account email and the payment method you're trying to use
